Bhadrachalam Temple, situated on the banks of the River Godavari in Khammam district, Telangana, India, is a revered Hindu pilgrimage site. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and is considered one of the Divya Kshetrams, according to Vaishnava tradition. According to lore, the temple marks the spot where Rama, along with his consort Sita and brother Lakshmana, spent time during their 14-year exile. It was here that the ardent devotee Bhakta Ramadasu, a revenue officer under the Tani Shahi Sultanate, built the temple in the 17th century using taxes collected from the people, which led to his imprisonment. His devotion led to a miraculous release, contributing to the temple's storied history. The temple features intricate carvings and traditional South Indian architecture with towering gopurams. It draws thousands of pilgrims during the festivals of Rama Navami and Vaikunta Ekadasi.
