Chaiturgarh (Lafagarh) Fort Tourism

Chaiturgarh, also known as Lafagarh, is one of the significant heritage sites situated in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. Perched atop a hill at an altitude of about 3060 feet, it is considered one of the strongest natural forts. Due to its strategic location, it was an ideal seat of power for rulers in ancient times, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area and a formidable defense mechanism. The fort has three main entrances known as Menaka, Humkara, and Simhadwar, with several idols and temples scattered around its vicinity, including a 12th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Mahishasuramardini.
