Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls, located on Jeju Island in South Korea, is a famed natural attraction composed of three tiers of waterfalls. It is often referred to as 'The Pond of God,' stemming from the mythological belief that nymphs descended to the falls and bathed in its pristine waters at night. The first tier is hidden among trees, with clear, cool water plunging into a pool below. A steep path leads visitors to the second waterfall, which is the largest and most spectacular of the three, with water cascading down a dramatic cliff into another pool. The third waterfall flows into the sea. Alongside the falls, Cheonjeyeon features a stone arch bridge called Seonimgyo, adorned with carvings of the seven nymphs, providing a picturesque view of the waterfalls. The surrounding area is a protected habitat for diverse plant life, including rare species such as the Skeleton Flower. The natural beauty and serene atmosphere of the falls make it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and photographers.
