Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay in Singapore, located within the Singapore River Planning Area. Spanning a buzzing stretch along the Singapore River, Clarke Quay is a vibrant enclave of restored warehouses transformed into colorful and eclectic shop-houses. These buildings host a variety of restaurants, wine bars, entertainment spots, and retail shops. Known for its nightlife, Clarke Quay pulsates with life in the evenings, drawing both locals and tourists to its shores. The area seamlessly combines old colonial architecture with modern, refurbished structures, offering a glimpse into Singapore’s past while embracing its contemporary cosmopolitan lifestyle. Cultural and historical landmarks, such as the Read Bridge and the Tan Tye Place, enrich the surroundings. Clarke Quay also serves as a gateway to other attractions in the city, such as the Merlion, Fort Canning Park, and the Asian Civilisations Museum. With its delightful riverside dining options, live music venues, and pulsating clubs, Clarke Quay remains one of Singapore's most popular leisure destinations.

Clarke Quay, a relaxing area for a drink and a bite to eat, with lovely views along the river
Clarke Quay is a lovely area with bars and restaurants having seating outside along the quay as well as providing inside seating.
We took a river boat cruise from Clarke Quay that goes down to Marina ..

Pretty by day, busy by night!
Another quayside that has been restored with its godowns and old buildings converted to cafes, bars and restaurants. Pleasant pastel coloured buildings lined the waterside. Much alive in the night.
