The Cologne Cable Car, known in German as 'Kölner Seilbahn', offers a unique perspective of the Cologne cityscape, including views of the famous Cologne Cathedral, the Rhine River, and the zoo. Inaugurated in 1957 as part of a horticultural show, it has since become an established attraction for tourists and locals alike. The cable car stretches across the Rhine, providing a comfortable and scenic ride from the Rheinpark to the Zoo/Flora. With a length of approximately 930 meters, it is the easiest way to cross the river without touching the busy streets of Cologne. On a clear day, the cabins, which can accommodate up to four adults and two children, provide a panoramic view of the city's urban landscape. It is particularly popular during summertime and various events when guests can enjoy an aerial view of the festivities taking place below.
