Dirang Dzong, or Dirang Fort, is a historical fortification located in the picturesque town of Dirang in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Nestled on the banks of the Dirang river, it represents a significant cultural and historical legacy of the region. Built in the 17th century, Dirang Dzong was once the center of public administration for the rulers of the area and also served as a strategic fort during the Tibetan invasion. The fort has massive stonewalls and wooden gates, indicative of the traditional Monpa tribal architecture, which has managed to withstand the tests of time. Inside the fort are ancient stone houses that continue to be inhabited by the locals, giving visitors a glimpse into their daily lives. The Dzong is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those looking to explore the rich cultural tapestry of Arunachal Pradesh. Its location offers panoramic views of the surrounding valley, and the journey to Dirang Dzong takes one through the picturesque and serene landscapes characteristic of Northeast India.

Ok.
Good to see the old structure. But the entry could be better. There should be a board mentioning the entry point.
