Reaching Frankfurt Cathedral, Frankfurt, Germany

The Frankfurt Cathedral, known as Frankfurter Dom or the Dom St. Bartholomäus, is located in the heart of Frankfurt am Main. There are several convenient ways to reach this historic landmark.

By Public Transport

• Subway (U-Bahn): The U4 and U5 lines will take you to the "Dom/Römer" station, which is only a short walk away from the Cathedral.
• Tram: Tram lines 11 and 12 stop at "Römer/Paulskirche", close to the Cathedral.
• S-Bahn: The S8 and S9 lines connect the Frankfurt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) with the "Konstablerwache" station. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral.

By Car

Finding parking in the city center can be challenging; however, there are several parking garages in the vicinity of the Cathedral, such as Parkhaus Dom Römer and Parkhaus Hauptwache. Do note that Frankfurt has an environmental zone (Umweltzone) where only vehicles with a corresponding sticker (Umweltplakette) are allowed to enter.

By Bike

Frankfurt is bike-friendly, with many designated bike paths and lanes. Bicycle parking is available near the Cathedral.

On Foot

If you are in the city center, the Cathedral is within walking distance from many hotels and attractions such as the Römerberg Square and the Main River.

From Frankfurt Airport

• By Train/S-Bahn: Take either S8 or S9 from the Regionalbahnhof station at the airport. The journey to "Konstablerwache" station is approximately 20 minutes. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral.
• By Taxi: A taxi from the airport takes around 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic.
