Best Time to Visit Friendship Bridge, Moreh, Manipur, India

The Friendship Bridge, which marks the border between India and Myanmar, is ideally visited during the dry season, from October to May. During this period, the weather in Moreh is pleasant, with minimal rainfall, making it convenient for crossing the bridge and engaging in nearby activities. October to April is especially beneficial as these months are characterized by cooler temperatures, clear blue skies, and a comfortable climate that is conducive to travel and sightseeing.

The post-monsoon period, which starts in late September and continues through November, is particularly attractive as the surrounding landscapes are lush and green from the recent rains. The winters, from December to February, offer the most comfortable temperatures, ideal for walking on the bridge and exploring the surrounding markets and cultural spots. However, tourists should be mindful that during national festivals and holidays, the area can become quite crowded, and immigration formalities may take longer. It is recommended to avoid the hot summer months, from late March to early June, when temperatures soar, and the heat can become oppressive, detracting from the experience of visiting this landmark.
