By Train

To reach the Gion District by train, take the Keihan Line to Gion-Shijo Station, which is the closest station to the heart of Gion. From Kyoto Station, you can catch a train to Gion-Shijo Station; the trip takes approximately 10 minutes. You can also take the Hankyū Line to Kawaramachi Station, which is only a short walk from Gion.

By Bus

Another convenient option is the Kyoto city bus. From Kyoto Station, you can take numbers 100 or 206 and get off at the Gion bus stop. The duration varies depending on traffic but usually takes about 20 minutes.

By Taxi
