The Gundicha Temple, situated in the sacred city of Puri in Odisha, India, is an essential part of the great Rath Yatra Festival associated with the Jagannath Temple. Positioned 3 kilometers away from the main Jagannath Temple, it is here that the idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra reside for nine days during the festival. The temple is often referred to as the 'Gundicha Ghar' or the 'Aunt's House', symbolizing the maternal aunt's home where Lord Jagannath visits once a year. The architecture of the temple is admired for its striking ‘Kalinga’ style, notable for its intricate carvings and sanctity. Surrounded by a well-maintained garden, the temple complex houses the main sanctum, a prayer hall, and a kitchen considered one of the largest in the world. The sanctity of the temple lies in its deep-rooted religious customs, attracting pilgrims and tourists from across the globe.

Aunt's place of Lord Jaganath
Known to be Aunts house of Lord Jaganath, it is very near (approx 2 km) from the main temple. Best is to avoid the pandas and do darshan and move ahead. don't fall in trap

First Visit
For the first time, the darshan of Lord Jagannath, Subhadra Devi and Lord Balabhadra was very clear. Early mornings are best for visit. They have a rate card for bhog. The highest being 1,45,000. Yes..

Lord Jagannath's Bua (Aunty) place
It is believed that it is Lord Jagannath's Bua's temple. Although around the year the temple is vacant and very easy to visit but during Rath Yatra the deities of main Jagannath temple are placed here..
