Gyeonggijeon Shrine is a historic site located in the traditional Jeonju Hanok Village. Here's how you can reach the shrine:
The nearest airport to Jeonju is the Incheon International Airport (ICN). From there, you can take a domestic flight to the Gunsan Airport (KUV), which is about an hour away from Jeonju by car or bus.
The most convenient train service to Jeonju is the KTX (Korea Train Express). From Seoul Station or Yongsan Station, take the KTX directly to Jeonju Station. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Express buses to Jeonju depart from the Central City Bus Terminal in Seoul. The travel time is about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Jeonju Bus Terminal or Jeonju Express Bus Terminal, the shrine is a short taxi ride away, or you can use the local buses.
If you are driving, you can use the navigation system and enter the address of Gyeonggijeon Shrine: 44, Taejo-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do. Jeonju is approximately 3 hours drive from Seoul via the Seohaean Expressway (West Coast Expressway) and Honam Expressway.
Once in Jeonju, you can take a local bus to "Hanok Village" (한옥마을) which stops near the Gyeonggijeon Shrine area. Jeonju is a city well-known for its walkability, particularly around the Hanok Village, so walking is also a viable option if you're staying nearby.
Operating Hours: The shrine is usually open from 09:00 to 18:00 (times may change depending on the season or special events), and there is an admission fee to enter the shrine complex.
