Best Time To Visit Haeundae Beach (Busan) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Haeundae Beach, Busan, South Korea

The ideal time to visit Haeundae Beach is between late May and early September when the weather is warm and conducive for beach activities. During this period, the summer season is in full swing, resulting in warm sea temperatures that are perfect for swimming and water sports. Haeundae Beach is most famous for its annual Haeundae Sand Festival, which takes place in early June, showcasing impressive sand sculptures and various beach-themed events. It's also important to note that July and August are the peak tourist months, which means you can expect the beach to be very crowded, but also full of vibrant energy and cultural events.

However, if you wish to avoid the crowds while still enjoying moderate weather, consider visiting in late September or early October. The weather during this period remains pleasant, and the sea temperatures are still warm enough for swimming. Moreover, the crowds will have dissipated following the end of the summer vacations, allowing for a more relaxed experience. Autumn also brings with it the charm of fall colors in the surrounding Dongbaekseom Island and Dalmaji Hill, enhancing the picturesque quality of the seaside visit. That being said, always keep an eye on the local weather forecast and be aware of the monsoon season, which can bring heavy rains, usually between June and July.
