By Train:

Sounzan Station is the starting point of Hakone Ropeway.

By Bus:

For those driving, Togendai Station on the northern end of the Hakindexe Ropeway has a car park available. Coming from Tokyo, take the Odawara-Atsugi Road to Hakoneguchi, then follow the signs to Lake Ashi (Ashinoko) and Togendai.
