Traveling to Hazrat Ali Shrine

The Hazrat Ali Shrine, located in the heart of Taloqan, is a revered site for pilgrimages and visitors alike. Due to its remote location, reaching Taloqan may require multiple steps depending on your point of origin.

By Air

No direct international flights are available to Taloqan. Travelers must fly into Kabul International Airport (Hamid Karzai International Airport) or another major airport in Afghanistan and then proceed overland or take a local flight to a nearby city, if available.

By Road

From Kabul:

• Take the A76 highway north towards Kunduz. This route is approximately 265 kilometers and can take upwards of 6 to 8 hours by car due to road conditions and security checkpoints.
• Upon reaching Kunduz, transition to the A77 highway, heading east directly to Taloqan.

By Public Transportation
