How To Reach Khao Takiab

Getting to Khao Takiab, Hua Hin, Thailand

Khao Takiab, known for its beautiful beaches and the famous Monkey Mountain, is a popular area located just a few kilometers south of Hua Hin's town center.

By Plane

Although Hua Hin has its own airport, flights are limited. Visitors can fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhime Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) and then transfer to Hua Hin.

By Bus

From Bangkok, you can take a bus from the Sai Tai Mai terminal (Southern Bus Terminal). Buses leave regularly for Hua Hin and the journey takes approximately 3-4 hours.

By Train

The State Railway of Thailand operates several trains daily from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station to Hua Hin. The journey can take around 4-5 hours depending on the type of service.

By Car or Taxi

Traveling by car or taxi is the most direct and convenient way to get to Khao Takiab. The drive from Bangkok can take about 2.5 to 3 hours via the Phetkasem Road (Highway 4), which runs all the way to Hua Hin and beyond.

Mini vans are a popular mode of transport offering transfers from Bangkok to Hua Hin. They operate from various points in Bangkok such as Victory Monument and Mochit bus terminal.

Once in Hua Hin, you can reach Khao Takiab by:

• Local Songthaew (shared taxi truck): They run the route from Hua Hin center to Khao Takiab regularly.
• Taxis are also available for a more comfortable and private trip.
• Renting a motorbike or scooter is a common and convenient way to get around.
• Tuk-Tuks can also be hired, but it's advisable to negotiate the price before starting your journey.
