Bus: Several bus services stop on Oxford Road near the museum, including numbers 15, 41, 42, 43, 140 – 143, and 147. The 147 bus runs from Manchester Piccadilly station directly to the Museum during the day.

By Car

From the M56, continue onto the A5103. Then follow the signs for the city centre and the Universities. There are no parking facilities at the museum but pay-and-display parking bays are available on the surrounding streets. Alternatively, you can park at the University of Manchester's car park which is open to museum visitors.

Cycling

There are several bicycle racks available in front of the museum where visitors can lock up their bikes.

Taxi

If you're planning to take a taxi, ask the driver to drop you off close to the museum's address. Manchester is well served by a number of taxi firms.
