By Public Transport

Public transport is an efficient way to reach the zoo. You can use the following methods:

• By Tram: Take tram line 5 to Tiergarten, which is the tram stop right outside the zoo's main entrance. Tram line 5 connects with several U-Bahn (subway) stations, such as Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and Aufseßplatz. The tram runs every 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the day and time.
• By Bus: Bus lines 45 and 65 also stop at Tiergarten. These buses might be suitable if you are coming from a different part of the city or connecting from other forms of public transport.
