To visit Omokdae and Imokdae, you first need to reach South Korea. The nearest major airport to Jeonju is Incheon International Airport (ICN). Once you arrive at ICN, you can catch a domestic flight to Jeonju Airport (CHN) which is closer to Jeonju City.
After arriving in South Korea, the fastest and most convenient way to reach Jeonju is by train. From Seoul's Yongsan Station, you can take a KTX (Korea Train Express) directly to Jeonju. The travel time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Alternatively, you can catch a bus from Seoul's Central City Bus Terminal to Jeonju. The bus journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Upon reaching Jeonju, Omokdae and Imokdae are both situated in the Hanok Village. From Jeonju Station, take a taxi or a local bus to Hanok Village. The most recommended method for tourists is to take a taxi for convenience and to save time.
Once you have reached Jeonju Hanok Village, the sites of Omokdae and Imokdae are best accessed on foot. Omokdae is a historical pavilion located up on a hill, featuring beautiful views of the village. A short walk from there will lead you to Imokdae, another pavilion with significant historical value. The two sites are close to each other, allowing for a pleasant walking experience as you take in the traditional atmosphere of the village.
