Patriata, also known as New Murree, is a hill station in the Murree tehsil of the Rawalpindi District in Punjab, Pakistan. It's a popular tourist destination located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of the main Murree hill station. Patriata is known for its beautiful scenic landscapes, dense forests, and wildlife. The area is particularly famous for the Patriata Chair Lift and Cable Car, which offers a breathtaking ride over the hills with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. This cable car ride is one of the main attractions and the longest in Pakistan, taking visitors from the lower station to the top of the hills. Once at the top, tourists can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking trails and picnic spots. The hill station provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, with cooler temperatures in the summer months that draw many visitors seeking respite from the heat.
