Best Time To Visit Polo Park (Itanagar) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Polo Park, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, India

The ideal time to visit Polo Park in Itanagar, which is nestled in the lush state of Arunachal Pradesh, India, is between the months of October and April. During this period, the weather is usually mild and pleasant, making it perfect for tourists to explore and enjoy the attractions of the park. The temperature ranges from a comfortable 15°C to 21°C, and the park blooms with a variety of flora. The clear skies and less rainfall enhance the experience as visitors can enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys without any interruptions from the monsoon rains. This time of the year is also ideal for photography enthusiasts who wish to capture the picturesque beauty of the region.

It is advisable to avoid visiting Polo Park during the monsoon season, which runs from May to September, as Arunachal Pradesh receives heavy rainfall, which can disrupt travel plans and outdoor activities. Landslides and muddy conditions can make access to the park challenging. Furthermore, during peak monsoon, the park's pathways can become slippery, making it unsafe for tourists. Nonetheless, for those who are interested in the monsoon flora or who don't mind the rain, the park takes on a fresh vivid green appearance, which can be quite captivating. However, for the best balance of good weather and accessibility, the post-monsoon and winter months are highly recommended for a visit to Polo Park.
