From Kyoto Station

By Train: Take the Karasuma Line to Shijo Station. Then, walk about 10 minutes to the west along Shijo-dori (Shijo Street) until you get to Pontocho Alley.
By Bus: Take the Kyoto City Bus numbers 4, 5, or 17 and get off at Shijo Kawaramachi. Walk a couple of minutes east to reach Pontocho Alley.
