Getting to Punatsangchhu Hydropower Plant

By Air

The closest international airport is Paro International Airport (PBH). After landing, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a private car to Wangdue Phodrang, which is roughly 4-5 hours away from the airport. Domestic flights within Bhutan can also be taken if you are connecting from another city within the country.

By Road

• From Phuentsholing: This border town to India is about 141 kilometers away from the plant. Travel north on the Phuentsholing-Thimphu Highway until you reach Wangdue Phodrang, which should take about 5-6 hours.
