Rashid Karami International Fair Tourism

Rashid Karami International Fair, also known as Tripoli International Fair, is located in Tripoli, Lebanon. It was designed by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and is considered one of the major landmarks of modernist architecture in the Middle East. Spread across an area of about one million square meters, the site comprises exhibition pavilions, a helipad, an open-air theater, and an arch. Although never fully completed or operational as a fairground, it has stood as a testament to futuristic urban planning and avant-garde design. Today, it serves as a public space for the city and occasionally hosts events. Not to be confused with the Baalbek Ruins, which are ancient Roman ruins located in the city of Baalbek, Lebanon. Baalbek is known for its well-preserved monumental temples, including the Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Jupiter. As one of the most significant archaeological sites in Lebanon, Baalbek Ruins offer visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of Roman engineering and art. It has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984.
