Best Time To Visit Shymkent Zoo (Shymkent) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Shymkent Zoo, Shymkent, Kazakhstan

One of the ideal times to visit the Shymkent Zoo is during the spring season, which in Kazakhstan typically lasts from late March through May. During this period, the weather is comfortably mild and conducive for outdoor activities, with temperatures typically ranging from 10°C to 23°C (50°F to 73°F). This is the season when nature awakens, providing visitors not only a pleasant climate but also the opportunity to see various animals more active after the winter months. Furthermore, springtime celebrations and the blooming of flowers add a vibrant atmosphere to the zoo, making for an engaging and picturesque experience.

Another great time for a visit is during early autumn, particularly September and early October, when the heat of the summer has subserved and the weather remains warm, but not uncomfortably so. The temperature tends to hover between 15°C and 25°C (59°F to 77°F). It is a time when visitors can enjoy the zoo in a calm and less crowded environment. Also, it's a great period to observe the animals as they prepare for the nearing winter. Since these seasons also avoid the peak tourist months, guests can benefit from shorter lines and a more relaxed visit while taking advantage of the temperate climate.
