Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac Waterfall) Tourism

Located about 15 kilometers from the center of Sapa town in Vietnam, the Silver Waterfall or Thac Bac Waterfall is one of the most visited touristic attractions in the region. Sapa, known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, is home to this magnificent waterfall which is cascading from a height of over 100 meters. The name 'Silver Waterfall' is derived from the way the water strikingly falls like a shiny silver strip, especially under the sunlight, creating a beautiful and majestic sight. To fully experience the grandeur of Thac Bac, visitors can ascend the staircase beside the falls to gain a higher vantage point, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and forests. The thunderous sound of the waterfall, the misty spray, and the cool atmosphere provide a refreshing retreat from the humidity often experienced in other parts of Vietnam. The Silver Waterfall flows down from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak, carving its way through lush forests and ending up at the base where it joins the stream below.
