Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple is a significant Hindu temple located in the heart of Little India, Singapore. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, the fierce embodiment of Shakti, and has a history dating back to the 1880s when it was established by Indian pioneers. It is one of the oldest temples in Singapore and has been a focal point of worship and community events for the local Tamil community. Architecturally, the temple is notable for its South Indian Tamil style, with a richly ornamented tower known as a 'gopuram,' adorned with intricate statues of deities, mythological figures, and animals. The interior of the temple is equally impressive, with vibrant frescoes and carvings that depict various scenes from Hindu mythology. The temple underwent significant restoration to preserve its cultural heritage and intricate craftsmanship. It plays a pivotal role during the Hindu festival of Deepavali, where thousands of devotees and tourists flock to participate in the festivities and observe religious rituals.
Great location for exploring Little India in Singapore, as the name suggests! But a great little boutique hotel for good prices perhaps with the slight omission of that personal service.

Story behind every statue
Hindu temple in Singapore. Many believers do visit daily and perform their worship, the priest give blessing to them. Statues everywhere reflect a huge background history and culture I guess.
