Best Time to Visit Suizenji Jojuen Garden

Spring (March to May) is arguably the most spectacular time to visit Suizenji Jojuen Garden. The garden is famous for its lush greenery and traditional Japanese landscape design, but it's the cherry blossoms that steal the show during these months. As the season progresses, the myriad of cherry trees scattered through the gardens bloom in a riot of pink, making for a truly breathtaking scene. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of sakura along with the well-manicured lawns and ponds which reflect the blooming trees, creating a perfect photo opportunity. Additionally, this season features pleasant weather with mild temperatures that complement a day spent outdoors soaking in the serenity of the garden.

Autumn (September to November) is another ideal time for a visit, when the garden is painted with vibrant autumnal colors. The Japanese maple trees showcase a stunning palette of red, orange, and yellow leaves, offering a different but equally impressive display compared to the spring. The cooler temperatures make for comfortable walks along the garden's paths, inviting visitors to take their time and perhaps enjoy a picnic. It's also less crowded during this season, allowing for a more peaceful experience as you explore the traditional tea houses and the iconic miniature Mt. Fuji. Whether for the spring blossoms or the autumn leaves, it’s clear that nature’s own artwork provides an ever-changing backdrop to the historical beauty of Suizenji Jojuen Garden.
