Liverpool Lime Street is the main station for long-distance trains coming to Liverpool. From there you can take a short walk to Liverpool Central station and get on the Merseyrail for a couple of stops to James Street station, which is about a 10-minute walk to Tate Liverpool.
Many bus routes stop at Liverpool ONE bus station, which is only a five-minute walk from Tate Liverpool. You can also use the C4, C5, and CityLink services that stop at the Albert Dock.
If driving, follow signs to the Waterfront. The nearest paid parking is at the Liverpool ONE shopping centre across the road from the Albert Dock.
There are bike racks located near the entrance to the gallery. The city also has a CityBike hire scheme, and users can pick up and drop off bikes at any of the stations throughout the city.
National Express coaches serve Liverpool from various cities across the UK arriving at Liverpool ONE coach station, which is close to the Tate Liverpool.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is approximately 8 miles from the city centre with regular bus and taxi services. Manchester Airport is also an option, as there is a direct train service to Liverpool Lime Street station.
