Taraz does not have an international airport; however, the nearest major airport is Almaty International Airport. Once you arrive in Almaty, you can opt for domestic flights to Taraz Airport. Upon arrival at Taraz Airport, travelers can hire a taxi or rent a car to reach the Tekturmas Historical Complex.
Travelers can also reach Taraz by train. Taraz is well-connected to major Kazakh cities like Almaty and Nur-Sultan via the Kazakhstan Railways. The journey offers a scenic route, and train travel is comfortable and affordable. From the train station, taxis and buses are available to take you to the Tekturmas Historical Complex.
If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car in Almaty or other major cities and enjoy a road trip to Taraz. The A2 highway is the most direct route connecting Almaty to Taraz. Alternatively, bus services are available, making stops at various points before reaching Taraz. From the Taraz city center, local taxis and buses can take you directly to the Tekturmas Historical Complex.
