Cambridge Railway Station is the closest train station to the Fitzwilliam Museum. It is approximately a 20-minute walk, but there are also taxis and buses available from the station.
Exit the station and head northwest on Station Road. Continue onto Hills Road, which leads directly into the city centre, and turn left onto Trumpington Street. The museum will be on your right.
Taxis are readily available outside the Cambridge Station. The journey to the museum takes around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Buses from the train station are frequent. Look for the Universal U bus from station bay 8 to the Trumpington Park & Ride; alight at the 'The Fitzwilliam Museum' stop.
Cambridge is accessible from the M11 and the A14. Please note that there is no on-site parking at the museum, but a number of pay-and-display car parks are within walking distance.
Cambridge offers five park and ride sites, which are a convenient and eco-friendly way to reach the centre. The Trumpington site is the closest to the museum.
Several city bus services have stops close to the museum. The Citi 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 and the U bus services all stop on Trumpington Street.
