Shakhrisabz, located in Uzbekistan, is a city steeped in history with its roots going back more than 2700 years. As the birthplace of the great conqueror Amir Timur, also known as Tamerlane, it is home to a number of historic monuments including the Tomb of Jehangir, Timur’s eldest and most beloved son.
