The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum is located in Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea. This museum was established in August 1953 and it is dedicated to the Korean War, or as referred from the North Korean perspective, the Fatherland Liberation War against the invading forces of the United Nations, led by the United States, between 1950 and 1953. The museum features extensive exhibits of Korean War artifacts, historical documents, photographs, and dioramas, aiming to depict the North Korean struggle and victory against foreign aggression. The museum complex includes outdoor displays of tanks, planes, and ships, including the USS Pueblo, an American Navy intelligence vessel captured by North Korea in 1968. The main building stands as an impressive structure with traditional Korean architectural elements and features a revolving panorama battle diorama, which is one of the highlights of the museum. The museum serves both as a center of national memory and propaganda, promoting the official history as perceived by the North Korean government.
