Vivekanand Sarovar Raipur Tourism

Vivekanand Sarovar, also known as Budha Talab, is a significant historical and cultural landmark located in the heart of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. This serene body of water is surrounded by lush greenery and serves as a popular recreational spot for locals and tourists alike. The Lake is named after Swami Vivekananda since it is believed that he stayed nearby and used to swim here during his visit to Raipur. In his honour, a 37-feet-high statue has been installed on one side of the sarovar, which has been recognized by the Limca Book of Records for its height. The calm waters of the lake and the adjacent gardens provide a peaceful retreat from the hustle of city life. A walking track along the perimeter is frequented by morning walkers and fitness enthusiasts. The surroundings of Vivekanand Sarovar also include well-maintained parks, and it sometimes hosts cultural events and festivals, making it an active part of the city’s life.
