From London, take the M2 motorway which merges into the A2, following signs for Canterbury. Look for exit signs for the City Centre/Westgate Towers.
Parking is available in nearby public car parks since there is no on-site parking. The closest ones are Westgate Towers Car Park and Pound Lane Car Park.
By Train
Canterbury has two main railway stations: Canterbury West and Canterbury East. Both stations are within walking distance of the museum.
From Canterbury West, head southeast on Station Road West, turn right onto St Dunstan's Street, continue onto High Street, and then onto Westgate, where you'll find the museum.
From Canterbury East, exit the station and turn left onto Rhodaus Town, continue onto Old Dover Road, then onto Burgate and finally onto Westgate where the museum is situated.
By Bus
Canterbury's bus station, adjacent to Canterbury East train station, has several buses stopping at Westgate Towers. You can catch buses operated by Stagecoach, with routes serving most of the surrounding area.
Look for the Canterbury Westgate Towers stop for the closest access.
Walking
Canterbury is a compact city, with the Westgate Towers located centrally. If you’re exploring the city centre, the museum is accessible by a short walk from most central locations.
Cycling
Bicycle racks are available nearby for those who choose to cycle to the museum.
