How to Reach Yuigahama Beach, Kamakura, Japan

Yuigahama Beach is a popular seaside destination in the city of Kamakura. Whether you are coming from Tokyo or another part of Japan, you'll find the journey to Yuigahama Beach both convenient and picturesque.

By Train

The most common way to get to Yuigahama Beach is by train. There are several routes to consider:

  • From Tokyo Station: You can take the JR Yokosuka Line directly to Kamakura Station. The trip usually takes about an hour.
  • From Shinjuku Station: Take the Shonan Shinjuku Line directly to Kamakura Station. This also takes around an hour.

After arriving at Kamakura Station, Yuigahama Beach is just a 15-minute walk away. You can enjoy the scenic route through Kamakura's historical streets.

By Car

If you are driving to Yuigahama Beach:

  • From Tokyo, get onto the Metropolitan Expressway and continue on Yokohama-Yokosuka Road. Follow the signs to Kamakura, which will take you to the Kamakura exit. From there, it’s a short drive to Yuigahama Beach.
  • Parking can be limited during peak seasons, so arriving early or using public transportation is advised.

By Bus

You can also take a bus from Kamakura Station East Exit to Yuigahama Beach. Look for the bus service heading towards Daibutsu and get off at the Yuigahama stop.

Note: During the summer months, buses and trains can be crowded with beachgoers, so plan your trip accordingly.
