8 Nights 9 Days Dharamshala Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1: Head to Dalhousie

Pick up from Delhi airport/ railway station and drive for an overnight journey to Dalhousie. Reach Dalhousie in the morning, check in at the hotel and after some leisure explore famous sightseeing like Bara Pathar, Satdhara Falls - the waterfall is set amidst hills and offers beautiful views of snow-covered mountains, surrounded by pine and Deodar trees. We’ll walk to this picturesque spot and then head towards Panchpula, which is only a few kilometers away from here. the last but not least Old Churches of Dalhousie, Must eat Gulab Jamun at Café Dalhousie. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Khajjiar

After breakfast proceeds for sightseeing of Khajjiar known as “mini Switzerland”, Khajjiar is famous for the green meadow surrounded by pine forest and cedar forest. A quaint hill station bombarded with beautiful lakes, pastures, and dense forests, Khajjiar is a blissful place where one can enjoy just sitting in the grass, looking at the flowers and soaking in warm sunlight. Now head to visit the Dainkund Peak, the highest peak in Dalhousie and popularly known as the singing hill. There is an Indian Air Force base at the peak of Dainkund and a left turn from there is the Pholani Devi Temple, which is the prime attraction. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. *Optional activities – Paragliding services, Horse Riding, Zorbing, Rappelling, Nature walks suggestive here in between the trees, must visit to the Khajji nag temple Khajjiar.

Day 3: Head to Dharamshala (120 km/ 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Dharamshala. Reach Dharamshala in the evening, check in at the hotel and after some leisure visit the local markets. After some fun back to hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Explore Mcleodganj

After breakfast, explore the town replete with Tibetan culture and the residence of his Holiness, The Dalai Lama. Set on a sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and first visit a quaint little town, Mcleodganj. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. Visit the Bhagsunath waterfalls. At the end of the spur lies the Namgyal Monastery thus the entire day at Dharamshala will be full of tranquility and solace perfect for a rejuvenating sojourn to the hills. Also, pick a few souvenirs from here, and then it’s time to head to the HPCA Stadium, which is set against the backdrop of snow-clad mountains and lush green forests. In the evening return to hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Head to Manali via Palampur

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Manali. Visit Palampur -- a green hill station in the Kangra Valley, surrounded on all sides by tea gardens and pine forests before they merge with Dhauladhar ranges. You can visit the Bundla stream, a lovely 2 km walk from Palampur, A wide chasm of more than 100 meters, and it swells up and rises madly in monsoons taking stones and boulders along with it. Later visit Tea Garden and after some leisure drive to Manali. Reach Manali in the late evening, check in at the hotel and have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Visit Solang valley and Rohtang Pass (optional)

After breakfast, head to Solang Valley to experience ethereal serenity while sailing in air above the ground, enjoy the bird’s eye view of Manali from height on a glider. Now head to Rohtang pass to beat the traffic and get a view of the Parvati valley. The snow covering the plains give us a great opportunity for skiing and ATV ride (All-Terrain Vehicle). Feel the high of being at 4800m and enjoy the hot cup of tea and maggi, sure it does taste different. After all the adventurous activities, Get back to Manali for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel. *Note – Cab to Rohtang Pass is chargeable extra and Rohtang pass is closed on Tuesday. The driver will collect permit 1 day prior and you need to tell in advance if you wish to visit Rohtang - charges to be paid on the spot (around 1500-2000 INR per person)*

Day 7: Head to Shimla via Kullu (8-9 hrs. Journey) -

After breakfast check out from hotel drive to Shimla. Enroute visit Kullu – the Valley of God. Shimla: Former summer capital of British India & now a capital of Himachal Pradesh set amidst the snow-capped Shivalik mountain ranges offering some stunning views of the mighty Himalayas; it is surrounded by pine deodar. Arrive at Shimla and check in the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure to visit the local markets. *Optional – River rafting in Beas River (White Water) at Kullu (around 500 INR per person – you can pay on the spot)

Day 8: Visit to Mashobra and Kufri

Back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Back to Delhi

After breakfast check out from hotel and explore some of the popular attractions include second oldest Church in North India, Sankat Mochan temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Jakhu Temple – a very well-known temple situated at the top of the hill to seek blessings of the almighty. An hour long enthralling trek takes you to the temple known for stunning vistas and presence of numerous monkeys. Now head to the bustling mall & indulge in a shopping spree. Also explore the Ridge and the State Museum for a quick and interesting peep into the city’s history and culture. In renowned the evening get back to hotel have dinner and overnight stay at hotel. After some leisure drive to Delhi. Reach Delhi in the late evening. Bid the tour goodbye. *Note - You can opt for Rope Way from Church Road to Jakhu temple (300 INR per person which you need to pay on the spot) otherwise you can go on foot if you want to*
