Dal Lake in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India, is a small yet alluring body of water situated at an altitude of 1,775 meters above sea level. Named after Kashmir's Dal Lake, it is surrounded by dense deodar forests and offers a serene ambiance. Although much smaller than its namesake, this Dal Lake is significant in its own right and is considered a sacred spot due to its proximity to the village of Tota Rani. A small Shiva temple situated on its bank adds to its spiritual charm. Visitors often enjoy leisurely walks around the lake, embracing the calmness and natural beauty. The lake also serves as a starting point for trekkers heading towards the Naddi and Kareri regions. The annual fair held in August, during the festival of Janmashtami, is a key attraction, drawing locals and tourists alike for the vibrant celebrations.

Average lake
Small lake with no activity. Not worth the visit. On way to naddi point. Wish they had boating etc. here and made it more popular.
