War Memorial Tourism

The War Memorial at Dharamshala is a tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in various wars and operations post-independence. Nestled amidst beautiful forests of pine trees, the memorial stands as a reminder of bravery and sacrifice. This solemn landmark features a black marble wall inscribed with the names of the martyred personnel belonging to Kangra and nearby regions. It is part of the greater Dharamshala region, known for its scenic beauty and as the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile. The memorial area also includes well-maintained gardens and paths for visitors to reflect and pay their respects. It is situated at the entry point of Dharamshala town, on the way to the famous McLeod Ganj, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
