Day 1: Delhi -Shimla
Delhi - Shimla (08 to 10hrs Journey by cab) Meals plan: - Dinner On arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station and you will be met our representative and drive to Shimla (located 380kms). Shimla was the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains. Which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas? On arrival at Shimla check in at the hotel & after fresh up proceed to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town – “THE MALL & THE RIDGE†This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla''s landmarks - the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo - Tudor library building - are worth seeing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Shimla - Kufri
Shimla-Kufri-Shimla Meals plan: - Breakfast & Dinner Today morning after Breakfast at proceed towards Kufri. Green valley, Indra tourist park, chini banglow, Himalayan nature park (mini zoo- Tuesday closed) HORSE RIDING POINT (Mahasu peak, shooting place, apple garden, nag temple and fun campus). Later in the afternoon return to Shimla to visit Shimla local sight-seeing like Jakhoo temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. After that back to hotel and have your dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Shimla- Manali
: Shimla- Manali via Kullu Valley (07- 08hours journey by cab) Meals plan: - Breakfast & Dinner This day after breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to Manali via Kullu valley and on the way visit Pandoh dam, sunder nagar valley and the famous temple to Vaishno Devi, have a halt in Kullu to have a wonderful view of the famous Kullu valley popularly known as the valley of Gods, you can also enjoy river rafting in the Vyas river of Kullu.Overnight Stay at Manali Hotel. About Manali One day, Varvasvata, the seventh incarnation of MANU found a tiny fish in his bathing water. The fish told him to look after it with devotion as one day it would do him a great service. The seventh Manu cared for the fish till the day it grew so huge that he released it into the sea. Before departing, the fish warned Manu of an impending deluge when the entire world would be submerged and bade him to build a sea worthy ark. When the flood came, Varvasvata and seven sages were towed to safety by MATSYA, the fish which is regarded as first avatar of Lord Vishnu. As the water subsided the seventh Manu's ark came to the rest on a hill side and the place was named Manali (2050 m) after him. As the flood slowly dried, here arose a place of breath- taking natural beauty which was only appropriate at Manali that life began again. Today this legendary cradle of all human kind is a prime holiday destination. There are high mountains surrounded by snow and deep boulder strewn gorges. There are thick forests full of cool breeze and bird songs. There are fields of wild flowers, small picturesque hamlets and fruit laden orchards.
Day 4: Manali - Local
Arrival in Manali + Local City Tour (3 - 4 Hrs.) Meals: Breakfast& Dinner This day after breakfast proceed to Manali local sight-seeing Places to Cover: - Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Hot springs, Tibetans Monastery, Van Vihar, club house where you can enjoy different-different activity. In the Evening you will be free to explore the Mall Road & IBEX Market of Manali. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel. Hadimba Temple Hadimba temple lies nestled among tall deodars at around 2kms from the main market area of Manali. The wooden temple built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh in 1553 is dedicated to demoness Hadimba, wife of Pandava Bhima. Roof of the temple consists of massive deodar planks, which has largely survived the rages of time. To the left of the temple is a natural rock shelter with oversized footprints said to be the footprints of Hadimba. Annual Dhungri Mela. The mandir is also known as the Dhungri Van Vihar and has four stories. Tibetan Monastery A large number of migrants from Tibet live in Himachal Pradesh. A considerable portion of this population lives in Kullu district. Therefore, the presence of Tibetan monasteries in the area is not astonishing. In 1969, the Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa Monastery was set up. The principal attractions of this religious residence are a medium-sized sculpture of Lord Buddha and multicolored wall paintings. The Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa is another famous monastery, which has contemporary features. However, its size is not so big like the Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa monastery. Vashisht Kund or Hot Air Spring Vashisht is a small village famous for its hot springs and temple of Rama and Sage Vashisht. There is a separate bath area for men and women near the hot springs which unfortunately gets dirty as the day progresses. There was an attempt to build modern Turkish style bath houses but the project faced resistance from local people is now abandoned. An hour’s enjoyable walk from Vashisht village leads to an attractive waterfall. Club House Club house is situated around 1.5 km. from Tourist bureau (bus stand), just at the foot of old Manali village with all modern amenities required for holidaying elites. Club house is not less than five star comfort or luxury and greeted by smiling, courteous staff of Himachal Tourism Development Corporation at reception. The club provides indoor and outdoor games, conference facility with a multipurpose hall, Billiard, Table Tennis, Card room, Carom Table, of course with the permission and nominal fee. It has well stocked Bar and A Restaurant for the gourmet.
Day 5: Solang Valley
Solang valley (20 Kms /1 Hrs) Meals: Breakfast& Dinner After Breakfast proceed to Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 km in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Solang Valley has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organized in Solang Valley. Skiing and Paragliding are two main activities are organized here. Apart from this many other adventure sports are available like, Horse riding etc. Evening time back to hotel. Dinner & Over Night at Hotel. (Up to snow line in case road closed due to snow fall)
Day 6: Manali - Dharamshala
Manali - Dharamshala (08 -09 hours journey) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner This day after breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to Dharamshala by road. In the evening reached at Dharamshala check in pre booked hotel and have dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7: Dharamshala Local - Dalhousie
Dharamshala - local sightseeing –Dalhousie (04 – 05 hours journey) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner This day after breakfast proceed to local sight-seeing Places to Cover :- Visit full day local Sightseeing of Dharamshala covering official Residence of Dalai Lama the exiled Tibetan Leader, Dal lake, Naddi village, Dal Lake, St. John Church, Bhagsunag Temple, Mcleodganj market, Kunal Pathri Temple, War memorial, Cricket stadium. In the afternoon drive to Dalhousie. Overnight Stay at Dalhousie Hotel. Dal Lake Dal Lake is mostly visited by tourist during the month of September as a fair is organized on the bank of the lake which is attended by the people of the Gaddi tribe in a large number. The fair is celebrated to mark the presence of Lord Shiva. Dal Lake is a perfect site to laze around with picnic baskets as one can enjoy boating and many other activities. St. John Church The St. John Church is an Anglican church dedicated to John the Baptist, and is built in neo-Gothic architecture. Its main attraction, the Belgian stained-glass windows were donated by Lady Elgin, wife of Lord Elgin. The structure is so powerful that it survived the 1905 Kangra earthquake, which killed close to 19,800 people and destroyed most buildings in Kangra, Mcleodganj, and Dharamshala. Bhagsunag Temple Bhagsunag Temple: Temple of god Shiva situated around 2 km from Mcleodganj Bazaar. Constructed by 1 GR by around 1800 century and then worshipped majorly by 14 Gukha platoon villages in Dharamshala. Very next to Bhagsunag temple is a water fall, one of the major tourist attraction spot in Dharamshala. Cricket Stadium The construction work of the stadium started in 2002 and it was inaugurated a year later in 2003. The first match to be played on this ground was a Duleep Trophy match between the East Zone and the South Zone in February, 2004. The first international match to be hosted on this stadium was the ODI match between England and India in January, 2013 which was won by England by seven wickets.
Day 8: Dalhousie Local - Khajjiar
Dalhousie – local sight-seeing – khajjiar – Dalhousie Meals: Breakfast & Dinner This day after breakfast proceed to Dalhousie local sight-seeing Places to Cover :- Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, Satdhara and Old Churches of Dalhousie. You also visit Khajjiar known as Mini Switzerland of India, on the way to Khajjiar enjoy a Nature walk suggestive here from Kalatop toll Bridge to Kalatop Rest House after full day excursion back to Dalhousie. Dinner & Overnight at hotel. Khajjiar The history of Khajjiar is linked to the rulers of Chamba. The local Rajput rulers ruled Chamba valley in the 6th century ad and made it their capital city. This region became the part of the Mughal Empire in the medieval period and later came under various Sikh kingdoms. Finally, it was taken over by the British. It became a part of the state of Himachal Pradesh when it came into being on April 15, 1948.
Day 9: Dalhousie - Amritsar
Dalhousie – Amritsar (05 – 06hours journey) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner This day after breakfast check out from the hotel drive to Amritsar. After reaching at Amritsar check into the pre booked hotel, after fresh you will proceed to visit Indo Pak Wagah Border. In the evening get back to hotel have dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Indo Pak Wagah Border Wagah Border “India–Pakistan Border†which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset.
