Akademgorodok, also known as Academic Town, is a part of the southern district of Novosibirsk, Russia. It is located about 30 kilometers south of Novosibirsk city center and is renowned for its scientific research institutions and universities.
Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (OVB) is the nearest major airport to Akademgorodok. International and domestic flights arrive at this airport regularly. Upon arrival, travelers can take a taxi, a shuttle bus, or a public bus to reach Akademgorodok.
From Novosibirsk city center, the most convenient public transport option to Akademgorodok is to take a bus or a minibus (marshrutka). Buses number 8, 15, 35, 50, 54, 55, 56, 60, 76, and 87 have routes that go to Akademgorodok. Minibuses with route numbers 1015, 1025, 1053, 1060, 1076, and 1087 also make the trip.

If you are renting a car, you can drive from Novosibirsk to Akademgorodok by taking highway P256 and then turning to highway M52. There is clear signage to guide you to Academic Town.
There is no direct railway station in Akademgorodok, but you can take a train to the main Novosibirsk railway station and then continue your journey via bus, minibus, or taxi. The Trans-Siberian Railway also stops in Novosibirsk, providing another option for travelers journeying from afar.
