Al Noor Island is one of the most recent and unique additions to Sharjah's tourism offerings, combining art and nature in a serene setting. Here is how you can reach Al Noor Island:
If you are coming from outside the United Arab Emirates, the nearest airport to Al Noor Island is Sharjah International Airport (SHJ). From the airport, you can hire a taxi or use rideshare apps to reach Al Noor Island directly. Alternatively, you may fly into Dubai International Airport (DXB) which is approximately 30 minutes to an hour away by road, depending on traffic.
Al Noor Island is situated in the heart of Sharjah and can be easily reached by car. If you are driving from Dubai, take the E11 highway (Sheikh Zayed Road) towards Sharjah and follow the signs for Al Noor Island once you reach the main city area.
Sharjah's public transport system is well-connected. Buses run regularly between Dubai and Sharjah's main bus terminal. From the bus terminal, you can take a taxi to Al Noor Island. Additionally, there is a network of Sharjah buses that can take you close to the island, such as the bus route 14 which stops near the Al Noor Mosque.
The closest port is Khalid Port in Sharjah, where you can take a traditional abra (water taxi) to get a scenic route of Sharjah's coastline. However, this option may not be available directly to Al Noor Island, so you would still need to get a short ride from the nearest drop-off point to the island.
If you are staying in the vicinity of Buhaira Corniche, you can easily walk to Al Noor Island. It is connected via a pedestrian bridge, which provides spectacular views of the Sharjah skyline.
