Best Time to Visit Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh

The ideal period to explore Aalo (formerly Along), which is nestled in the picturesque West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, is from October to April. During this window, the weather remains pleasantly cool and is most conducive for tourism. The winter months, starting from late October to February, see the temperature ranging from 13°C to 22°C, making it perfect for sightseeing and participating in outdoor activities. This is also when the landscapes of Aalo are at their most lush and inviting, having recovered from the monsoon season with fresh foliage and clear skies. However, it can get quite chilly at night, so visitors are advised to carry ample warm clothing.

Another great time to visit Aalo is during the spring months, from March to early April, when the valley is in full bloom and temperature fluctuates between 20°C to 25°C. This season highlights the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh with blooming orchids and rhododendrons adorning the region. It's the pre-monsoon period, and while there might be occasional showers, they usually do not disrupt travel plans. Moreover, traveling during this time allows visitors to witness local festivals like Mopin, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm among the Galo tribe to bring prosperity and to ward off evil spirits.
