During these months, the weather is typically more conducive to exploring as there is minimal rainfall, and the humidity levels are generally lower, making for a more comfortable experience. Visitors are able to enjoy the historical architecture and the surrounding Arab Market without the inconvenience of wet conditions. It's also important to consider the Islamic calendar when planning your visit; the month of Ramadan sees the mosque and the Ampel area come alive with festivities and nightly bazaars, offering a unique and vibrant atmosphere. However, it will also be more crowded during this period.

Another optimal time to visit Ampel Mosque is during the cooler months of the dry season, especially around June and July. During these months, the temperature is relatively more moderate, which allows for a pleasant visit, particularly for those looking to spend a significant amount of time walking around the area and absorbing the cultural sights. For those interested in a quieter experience, visiting on weekdays is recommended. Regardless of when you decide to go, dressing modestly out of respect for the religious and cultural norms is a must, particularly when entering the mosque itself.
