Best Time to Visit Aruvikkuzhi Waterfall

The Aruvikkuzhi Waterfall, a picturesque natural attraction in Kumarakom, Kerala, is best visited during the monsoon season when its waters cascade with full vigor. The monsoon season, which typically runs from June to September, revitalizes the waterfall and the lush green surroundings, making the scenery exceptionally beautiful. During this time, the water levels are high, and the falls are at their most majestic. The cool and pleasant climate, along with the rain-washed landscape, offers a refreshing experience to visitors. However, those keen on photography or nature walks should be cautious as the terrain can get quite slippery, and the water flow can be overwhelming.

Visiting post-monsoon, particularly from September to November, can also be ideal as the rainfall subsides while the waterfall still retains much of its splendor. This period typically has fewer rain showers, allowing for easier access and better opportunities to enjoy the falls without the heavy monsoon downpour. The environment remains verdant, and the weather is comfortably cool, making it an excellent time for sightseeing, trekking, and picnicking in the area. It is advisable to avoid the summer months from March to May, as the water levels are low, and the weather can be quite hot, diminishing the waterfall's beauty and overall experience.
