Kannur, also known as Cannanore, is a coastal city in the northern part of Kerala state, India. It is famed for its vibrant culture, historical significance, and picturesque beaches. The city is the administrative headquarters of the Kannur district and has been an important trading center since ancient times, with a history that includes the colonial influence of the Portuguese, the Dutch, and the British.
