By Air

International Visitors: The nearest international airport to Barka is the Muscat International Airport (MCT). After arriving at the airport, visitors can opt for a taxi, rent a car, or use public transportation to reach Barka, which is approximately 60-80 kilometers from the airport, depending on your exact destination in the city.

By Road

Self-Driving & Car Rentals: Visitors can rent a car at the Muscat International Airport or throughout Muscat. The drive to Barka is straightforward, heading westward on the Muscat Expressway/Sultan Qaboos Street, which later merges with Highway 1 (Batinah Expressway). The trip takes around one to one and a half hours.

Bus: The Oman National Transport Company, known as Mwasalat, offers bus services that connect Muscat and other cities to Barka. Passengers should check the Mwasalat website for the latest schedules and routes.

By Taxi
