Best Time To Visit Berhampur (Odisha) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Berhampur, Odisha, India

The ideal time to visit Berhampur, often known as the "Silk City" of Odisha, is during the cooler months, which span from October to February. During this period, the weather is pleasantly mild, providing a perfect environment for exploring the city and its surroundings comfortably. Tourists can enjoy the local festivals and the outdoor markets without the discomfort of the intense heat and humidity that characterizes the summer months. Winter temperatures typically range from a minimum of 12°C to a maximum of 30°C, making sightseeing and other tourist activities more enjoyable.

Travelers should particularly consider timing their visit to coincide with local festivals such as Durga Puja in October and Taratarini Mela on every Tuesday of the month of Chaitra (usually falls in March-April). These events provide a deep insight into the cultural fabric of Berhampur. Monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, brings heavy rainfall, which can affect travel plans and outdoor activities. Thus, tourists looking to indulge in the cultural vibrancy and natural beauty of Berhampur should plan their trip outside the monsoon months.
