Bomdila Monastery is a prominent Buddhist monastery located in the town of Bomdila in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Also known as Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery, it was established in the year 1965 by the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rinpoche. Built on a hilltop, the monastery offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape and the township below. worship place

Bomdila monastery is located in a beautiful location with great views. This is very colourful and peaceful. Not a big Monastery by size but spiritually peaceful.

Not a visual treat

The monastry may be a spiritual center but this one is not really an architectural wonder or on the top of a peak or in the middle of a valley.
