Best Time To Visit Brighton Palace Pier (Brighton) In 2026 - 2027

The Best Time to Visit Brighton Palace Pier

Brighton Palace Pier, located in the quintessentially English seaside town of Brighton, is a year-round attraction with different experiences depending on the season. The best time to visit is during the late spring to early autumn months, from May to September. During this period, the weather is generally warm and pleasant, which is perfect for enjoying the outdoor activities on the pier. Summer, in particular, is the most vibrant time in Brighton, with longer daylight hours that allow you to make the most of your pier experience. Seasonal events and live entertainment are more frequent, and the atmosphere is buzzing with energy and excitement. However, it's also the busiest time, so expect more crowds and a lively ambiance.

Visiting outside the peak summer months, like in May or September, can provide an excellent balance of good weather and smaller crowds. The shoulder season still allows for comfortable outdoor dining and the enjoyment of the arcade games, funfair attractions, and deckchair relaxation with a less frenetic feel. If you prefer cooler weather, consider a visit in the spring or autumn. The pier is open daily (except Christmas Day), and each season brings its unique charm, with the off-peak months offering a quieter, more reflective experience against the backdrop of the changing seasons. Brighton has a temperate climate, so even in winter, a stroll along the pier can be enjoyable, albeit with cooler temperatures and the possibility of brisk winds.
