How to Reach Burana Tower
Burana Tower is an ancient minaret in the Chuy Valley of Kyrgyzstan and is located approximately 80 km east of the capital city Bishkek, near the town of Tokmok. Here are the ways to reach this historical site:
By Air
Manas International Airport (FRU) is the nearest major airport to Tokmok. Travelers can fly into Bishkek and arrange transportation to the tower from there.
By Road
From Bishkek, you can take the following routes:
- Private Taxi: Hiring a taxi is the most convenient option, albeit more expensive. You can negotiate a round-trip fare.
- Rental Car: Renting a car gives you flexibility and the opportunity to explore the surrounding areas at your own pace.
- Marshrutka (Shared Taxi or Minibus): These operate from the Eastern Bus Station in Bishketo Tokmok. Please note you may need to rent a taxi from Tokmok to actually reach the tower itself as it is located some distance from the city center.
